On August 3, H.E. Simon Pierre Adovelande, Ambassador of Benin to P. R. China, and his delegation paid a visit to CJIC. Zhang Jian’an, the Party Committee Secretary and President of CJIC, met with the clients. Li Biya, the Party Committee Member and Vice President, and other directors of relevant departments attended the meeting.

President Zhang Jian’an extended warm welcome to H.E. Ambassador Adovelande and his delegation, introduced the business development and market layout of CJIC, especially the business situation in Benin. He said that CJIC has been deeply involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, actively took part in the nine programs for China-Africa cooperation and effectively developed the West African markets including Benin in recent years. President Zhang Jian’an pointed out that CJIC is willing to strengthen the cooperation with Benin, participate in the construction and development at the domain such as local infrastructure and green energy. CJIC is willing to contribute its Chinese strength to the economic and social development of Benin. He said that CJIC hopes to have the strong support and assistance from the Embassy and H.E. Ambassador Adovelande and promote the deepening and implementation of cooperation between the two sides as soon as possible.

H.E. Ambassador Adovelande and his delegation visited the corporate culture exhibition hall and expressed gratitude for the company’s warm reception. He said that CJIC is an excellent multinational contractor with strong integration ability of resources and rich construction experience. CJIC has achieved fruitful results and remarkable strength. He pointed out that at present, the government of Benin is vigorously advancing the national economic development and expects CJIC to actively take part in the construction of national infrastructure in Benin. H.E. Ambassador Adovelande said that the Embassy will support and assist the cooperation between the two sides, help CJIC take root and develop the business in Benin so as to improve the local infrastructure, bring benefits to the Benin people and contribute to the deep friendship between China and Benin.

During the meeting, both parties had in-depth exchanges on cooperation and project promotion.
